Beautiful People of God,

Please put Nicoline Depalma on our prayer list as she is in the hospital and in need of urgent prayer. I just received a phone call from the family requesting urgent prayer. She has a tumor that has wrapped itself completely around the bowel. It has shut the bowel and has completely cut it off. They have given her two enemas and they did not work. She is too weak and has a bad heart and cannot have surgery to remove the tumor. She could not stand the surgery. Tomorrow they are going to see if they can break it up from above or below. If not they will have to decide the next step. Keep the family in your prayers also. The family said she is in excruciating pain. God is able to do more than we could ever think or ask.Remember Prayers go up blessings come down. prayer changes things. Grateful to serve beside you to make this a Christ like world. Decolores Mike Birk

will be the last time he will have to go through this procedure. Four times
to St. Thomas in less than 5 months is a little much. Thanks again and keep
praying for us.

We are home and Mike is ok, just really exhausted (so am I). Mike started having pains in his chest Thursday on his way to Henderson. It was my birthday and I was staying with Kelly for a few days because she had a hysterectomy on Wed. (Please excuse my spelling on all of these big words.) He called Dr. Hall and he told him to take a nitro and see if it went away. It did and so he said he wanted to see Mike on Friday morning in his office. He spent the night with us in Henderson and Friday morning drove home to go to dr. I stayed at Kelly's because he said he was fine then. When he got to Dr. Hall's office, they did a EKG and Dr. Hall said there was a problem and he needed to go to St. Thomas immediately. He called me and I said I will be home in an hour but Dr. Hall didn't want him to wait. My parents took him to St. Thomas and I met them there. Once we arrived at the emergency room they took him straight to a room and told him they would be doing a Heart Cath within the hour. They did and found no blockages at all. Praise God!!! His stint was working well and his heart was much stronger than went they put the stint in. This was good news but they did find that the circulatory part of his heart was not good. It is where he had the ablation surgery before and it has messed up again. He spent the night in the hospital last night and we just got home a little while ago. As far as we know, we will be going back to have this surgery on Tuesday morning but the details we don't know yet, since it was a Saturday. They will call us Monday with times etc. Please continue to pray for him and for Kelly and for me. This is a lot for this old woman to have to go through. He is planning on preaching tomorrow morning and tomorrow night, Lord willing and going on to school Monday night for his class he is taking at Mid Continent. We do need your prayers always though. Thanks to all who have been praying and for all the calls we have received on his behalf. We love you all.Mike and Teresa Boyd

I also wanted to let you know my Aunt Jean did pass away late Tuesday night. Thankfully, they did not have to make a decision to take her off the machines- she went peacefully on her own. Funeral arrangements are for this weekend in Ohio. Uncle James and Aunt Jean just celebrated 62 years of marriage...please pray for him and our family!

James is doing better. They put the pacemaker in yesterday. His heart rate is now up to 60 and it had been staying about 40 beats pr min. If all goes well, he could go home today! Please continue praying for him and my Mom (Wanda Curtis). He is going to have limitations and this is a man that never sits still!

Kevin and Melinda Howard need prayer for little Lexie. She is a very sick little girl and has been in the hospital several days. They are still running tests to determine what is wrong with her but please for now JUST PRAY!

James Curtis (Wanda Curtis' hubby-Tracy Hargrove's step-father) is having heart problems. He will be getting a pacemaker but they have also discussed the need for a defibulator. At this point, they are just trying to regulate his heart rate as it goes both really high and seriously low. He has spent a almost a week in the hospital so far.

Jean Moore (Aunt) had a massive heart attack. Please keep our family in your prayers. They are not sure if she will make it through the day. Aunt Jean lives in Akron, Ohio.

First, our Community Spiritual Director. Terry Peck, asks for prayer for his loving wife Diana, who has just recently been diagnosed with Lupus. Secondly, Randy Hargrove will be having test run (CT or MRI) to see why he suffered a blackout recently. Please keep these two in your prayers as keep Harry Todd covered as well. He’s still a shut-in with no visitors and I think cabin fever is setting in although the infection is better and the wound is healing.

Tonight at his home church, Northside Baptist in Princeton, a special prayer service will be held including laying on of hands, seeking divine intervention and a miracle touch from The Great Physician. I was surprised earlier when I retrieved a voice mail left by Retha Todd last night explaining that Harry still has infection where the doctor removed the toe next to the big toe and might have to have more surgery. Well I just called and talked to Harry and things look worse than they did last night. The surgeon will look in on him again tomorrow and assess if the infection is continuing to spread despite the antibiotics and if further surgery will be necessary.

Folks, we need to pray specifically about that infection, that God will touch Harry and remove the infection, and return him to health. Please take a few minutes right now to lift up Harry Todd, and Retha, in a prayer for healing. Where two or three are gathered… Harry is a faithful servant and a true friend of the Pennyrile Community.

Dear Friends and Family,

I have a very tender prayer request. A request that is very close to my heart. And I know that God answers prayer. He has answered so many in my life. Yesterday Richard and I were at the Western Ky. Diagnostic Center for Richard to have a bone scan. This past month Richard was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and the doctor ordered a bone

scan to check to see if there was cancer any where in the bones. We are PRAISING

AND THANKING THE LORD FOR HIS MERCY. ANSWERED PRAYER !!!!!!!!!! We have not received the doctors report. But a very kind and compassionate person shared with Richard and we are praising the Lord. The scan was clear !!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard will be having surgery on November 13, in Nashville. We go this Friday

for a consultation with the surgeon.

My request is that you join us in praying for complete healing. And for a peace

beyond what we already have. God has filled Richard with a compassion for others, who

are suffering illness and news such as he has received and for their families. He says “I

understand now, I can not tell you how but I understand what they are feeling!” We believe that there will be many touched through this journey that Richard and I have ahead of us. Please join us as we pray that doors be opened and people are touched

by Jesus through us. Yesterday the man who did Richard’s test, said to me as he

showed Richard back through the door,. “This is a special man!”, I responded to him that I agreed with him. A lot of people do not know Richard well, a lot of you do. He is

an intense person, and when he is in deep thought you may think he is not paying

attention to you, but he is just in deep thought. He is a deep thinker. He is a very

good person. And He loves the Lord and wishes to share in His work.

Thank you in advance for your help in praying for this strength in continued faith. And please pray for the ability of the doctors who will perform this surgery. And for a peace beyond all understanding.

Love in Christ,

Louise

2 Corinthians 4:17-18, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." (NIV)

Psalm 86:6, "Listen closely to my prayer, O LORD; hear my urgent cry." (NLT)

Psalm 46:10 “ Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

Matthew 18:19, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where

Two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
